Lisa is a radar remote sensing scientist at Cloud to Street, where she is mainly contributing to the optimization of the radar-based flood detection algorithm. After obtaining the Bachelor's and Master's degree in Bioscience Engineering for Land and Water Management from Ghent University, Lisa started as a PhD candidate at the same institute. Over the past two years, she has been focusing on radar backscattering mechanisms and methodological improvements for radar-based flood mapping. She is eager to put this knowledge into practice and contribute to improving the resilience of vulnerable communities. Lisa speaks English, French and Dutch.
Lisa has been featured in many academic publications, and has most recently been published in Advances of Water Resources and IEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing.
